R. CONERY, of Maquoketa, committed suicide by hanging on the 31 of July. The cause will be seen by the following letter found on the body. "Maquoketa, July 3, 1874, The means of my death is my two girls NANCY and SAKE, they are lying about me and mother, doing all they can to hurt us in every way; they have stole everything they can get hold of. - I want the world to know what I die for. I want this put into the paper for people to read. NANK has been more trouble to us than the rest put them all together. She was always a devil. - D. R. CONERY." ===============================================================================
