PEEPLES The subject of this brief sketch was the son of RICHARD H. and MARTHA PEEPLES. He was born January 27, 1888, and departed this life March 2, 1906, from heart trouble. Truly he was an heir to the prophecy, "Man that is born of woman is of few days and full of trouble," for his days were heavy with affliction from child- hood's dawn to life's latest breath. However, notwithstanding all the suffering under- gone it only tended to refine his noble soul for his was a beautiful character; obedient, gentle, good, are terms that clearly describe his inner and out- ward life. VIRGIL was a member of the Orange Blossom and Methodist Sunday school all his life, but he never made any public profession of Christian dicipleship, although the spirit of trust in God was strongly marked in him. The last hours were full of acute suffering as the soul struggled to loose itself from the frail tenement of clay, but he was beautifully patient through it all. Surrounded by father, mother, brothers, sisters, and friends, his last sigh was spent and the spirit went back to God who gave it. Where the angels sing. "No more sickness, no more sorrow. No more trial e'er shall be." Saturday morning followed by a large concourse of relatives and friends the precious remains were tenderly laid away in the family burying ground at New Hope church. After life's fitful fever he sleeps well. The funeral services were conducted by his pastor Rev. D. LeeSweitzer. Florida Christian Advocate place copy.
