DeSoto County News

              Death of Mr. J. M. BOURLAND
              
              Mr. J. M. BOURLAND died suddenly at his residence
           in Pine Level Sunday, and his death has cast a gloom
           over the entire community. Mr. BOURLAND has been a
           resident of De Soto County for many years, and his
           many friends will be deeply pained to learn of his
           death. He was formerly one of our County Commissioners,
           which office he held with credit to himself and satis-
           faction to his constituents. He was a Christian gentle-
           man and had the respect and esteem of all who knew him.
           In the death of Mr. BOURLAND Pine Level loses one of
           its best citizens, and his place cannot be easily
           filled. He was the father of our Mr. T. D. BOURLAND.
           The News joins the many friends of the bereaved family
           in extending the deepest sympathy in their hour of
           affliction.
