JAMES HATHAWAY, a former resident of Ludington, died in Milwaukee Saturday after a long illness caused by a cancer. She will be better remembered as the mistress of the county poor farm during the time her husband had charge of that institution and later they moved to this city, residing here until a few years ago when MRS. HATHAWAY went to Milwaukee. Besides a mother who lived with her in Milwaukee and hus- band, deceased leaves three sons of a former marriage, FRANK BILLINGS of Milwaukee, CHARLES and WARREN BILLINGS of Mason County.
