Two highwaymen held up two street cars in the outskirts of Manistee Thurs- day night and compelled the conductors and motormen to give up all the money in their possession. The hold-up occurred in a secluded spot. There were no passen- gers and the highwaymen jumped on board and quickly covered the crew with revolvers. Then they ordered them to go ahead after the booty was secured. Before assistance could be sent back the last car for the night had reached the spot and one passen- ger and the car men were compelled to under- go the same treatment as the others. About $35 was stolen. The men are tramps and had been about the city for a week. =========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ===========================================================================
