                   Bound Kingston for Chicago with stone when a leak of
                undetermined origin developed.  The pumps were unable to
                keep pace with the inrush of Lake Ontario and the crew took
                to the yawl, the CALVIN sinking within moments afterwards.
                The crew was picked up by the propeller AMERICA.
                
                Built on bottom of steamer ECLIPSE.
