WILLIE TRIPP, the sixteen years old son of D. R. TRIPP, of Petoskey, was at his work near a large pile of hardwood lumber recently sawed, when suddenly the pile fell upon him, completely covering him. It seems he was piling rolling pins under a tramway or trestle upon which several thousand feet of green lumber was piled. No one saw the structure fall, but a man noticed that it had fallen, and when the lumber was removed the body of the unfortunate young man was found, so badly crushed that death was probably instantaneous. A coroners inquest was held, and a verdict rendered in accordance with the facts as above set forth. The funeral was held at the Presbyterian church Sunday, and was very largely attended. The young man was a smart, industrious boy, who was popular with all who knew him, and the family have the heartfelt sympathy of all in their sudden affliction. =========================================================================== If you've reached this file through a SEARCH, you can access more of our growing collection of FREE online information by going to the following URL: http://www.us-data.org/ ===========================================================================
