R. SMITH, 80, Dies Yesterday A resident of Little Traverse township for 58 years, MRS. CATHERINE ROZINA SMITH, who had recently been making her home in Harbor Springs, died yesterday afternoon at Little Traverse Hospital following a lingering illness. She was 80. Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Erwin Funeral Parlors in Harbor Springs, with Rev. Lester Priest presiding. Burial will be in Pleasantview cemetery. Friends may call at the parlors Friday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Born Nov. 19, 1875 in Livingston county, New York, she was the daughter of the late JOHN and CATHERINE WITHERELL. She was married April 25, 1891, to EDGAR SMITH at Dansville, N.Y., coming to this area 58 years ago. MRS. SMITH is survived by two half brothers, FRANK and LOUIS HINDS of Dansville; three daughters, MRS. WILLIAM MALONEY and MRS. ELWIN HOTCHKIN, both of Lansing, and MRS. JOSEPH HARPER, Pleasantview; three sons, JAMES E., Lansing; LEO J., Harbor Springs, and WILLIAM C., San Antonio, Tex; 14 grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren. ================================================================================
