Mr. Sheriff DICKINSON, through the criminal connivance, or equally criminal carelessness of a deputy whom he yet retains in office, and for whose action he thus assumes personal responsibility, lost a prisoner under sentence to the pentitentiary. He made a pretended search for him, and when he presented his bill for expenses, the board of super- visors very properly refused to allow said bill, on the ground that such expenses were the direct results of his own official mad-administration. Therefore he is mad, and therefore his state- ment above. Verily Mr. Sheriff DICKINSON is almost as valuable to Emmet county as our late lamented treasurer. ==========================================================================
