Morgan County, WV -- 1870 census images
There are 112 pages (and scanned image files) for the 1870 Morgan County WV census.
Volunteers are needed to transcribe index information from the image-files. If you are interested in helping to transcribe the index, contact the USGenWeb Census Project's, West Virginia Census Assignment Coordinator (email link is on the following webpage)
http://www.us-census.org/states/westvirginia/
After the index is created, the USGenWeb Census Project® will link each name in the index to the scanned image page where that name appears.
The name of each census-image-file is the stamped page number for that sheet. When the stamped page numbers were added, they were placed only on the front-side. The reverse-side of the page was not stamped. An "a" has been added to the number on the pages that were stamped. For the reverse-side of the page, a "b" has been added to the same number that's stamped on the front-side.
NOTE: In Sleepy Creek Township, the sheet following stamped page 144 was not stamped, therefore, when numbering the image-files a "c" and "d" were added to 144 for the two sides of the unstamped sheet.
NOTE: In Timber Ridge Township, the sheet following stamped page 150 was not stamped, therefore, when numbering the image-files a "c" and "d" were added to 150 for the two sides of the unstamped sheet.
NOTE: both sides (of the following sheet) were blank and have been omitted from the image files -- 109a-109b
